Kirk Bates-April 20 5-8pm

Kirk has spent over half of his life in North Hastings and considers himself a native of ‘North of 7’.     His passion for singing was encouraged at an early age by his father and learned to play (but not limited to) guitar at age 13.       Performing his first set ‘live’ on stage at age 15 found him realizing his life-long passion.      Kirk has been a member of a few local bands, Bancroft Theatre Guild and cast in two Joey Shulman music theatre productions (‘Fiddler on the Roof’ and ‘Jaques Brel is Alive and Well…’) He’s also had a small role in a locally shot independent film ‘DARK SUNRISE’ released 2023 (One of his original songs will be featured in it as well).  Some of his music highlights have been, finalist in ‘Next Country Music Star Talent Search’ 2016 and 2017,  open for ‘Cameo Blues Band’ at RPM Havelock 2016 (twin stage), opened for ‘The Good Brothers’ in Bethany, On 2017 (The Ranch Resort), as well as feature spots at ‘Norwood Jamboree’ 2017, Hollyrood Jamboree 2018 and ‘The Breezeway’ 2020.      Kirk is a multi-genre musician (collaborations seriously considered) who enjoys performing at local and regional venues and events as well as helps organize music entertainment at local charity events.
